I believe that human sexuality is fluid based on socialization, cultural norms and trauma (or lack there of). I also believe that God gives us all free will to make decisions.
Even if, for the sake of argument only, the first part of your sentence is true, the latter is worthless.
The free will to do what? ACT on sexuality, surely. But ACTING on sexuality is not changing ones sexuality. It's behavior control.
Just like choosing to be celibate your whole life would not make you any less a heterosexual.
Everyone morning I read the various papers and it seems as if this morning, all of the main papers have Michael Sam (an openly homosexual college football player) as the main head-line. The writers of the various articles seem to celebrate Sam because he has come out as homosexual. I find it strange that the media encourages homosexuality, but then publishes articles stating that homosexual black males have the highest HIV rates in the country.
I don't understand why this is something that should be celebrated. My question is, what value does being homosexual add to the greater society?
Someone may like anal sex, group sex, or not interested in having any sex with anyone. Why some people think everyone else is waiting with bated breath to hear about their sex life, I don't get.

Conservatives sure like to talk about the Clintons' sex lives. Would you like me to copy some of the MANY posts conservatives have posted?
There is no such thing as "sexual orientation." That is nothing more than a modern day construct. Human beings were given the innate ability and desire to procreate.
No such thing as "sexual orientation"? Say what?!
You are only right that the concept - rather - the recognition - of "homosexual" as a distinct orientation is a fairly modern concept, but that's only because back in the day people did not think in such terms, or simply did not care. If you liked men, you liked men. If you liked women, you liked women. Marriage was for everyone. Make kids, have your fun on the side if that's what you were into.
But throughout history there is record of it. Indeed, many native cultures recognized it as a distinct category of being as well ("two spirit" people).

Why is it always the cons who seem to think only about sex when they think of gays? Do you think of only sex when you think of straights?
Have you seen a Mardi Gras parade lately? What's your point?
