Exactly! It's like my saying that I'm an expert in astronomy because I can see the Big Dipper.

You guys are missing the point and you are quick to insult her personally. Palin may never be President, but what you fear is her ability to talk to Middle Class Americans and the ability to give hope for a better future with the Poor of this country.

Keep on wasting your breath and spending a lot of money just to call Her "Stupid" I do not think every idolizes her like the Followers of Obama. In fact she motivates Tea Party Conservative & Values. Instead of the Social engineering that the current President and followers are trying to do (Modified Socialism)

You just may wish to read the US Constitution before you try to change this country! Plus you just may actually have to listen to what the woman says.

She connects with a relatively small segment of America. I don't think she is stupid, not by a long shot, though she was woefully under-prepared for the national limelight in 2008. I think she is shrewd, as she taken the connection she has with a small segment of the American population and has parlayed that into a lucrative career. She will never hold political office again, so she will have no direct influence on policy, and what she has to say is basically just variations on really vague platitudes about 'American values'. But it works for her and her audience, so good for her.

Ms. Palin appeals to more Citizens than you think. " Relatively a small segment" Not by a longshot. She appeals to any who wants to check the powers of large Gov.

I do however agree with you she was not prepared for the Circus we call "National Election". This will be the reason she may never reach such high office.

As a conservative I hope she continues to put out American Values and adds balance to the big picture. Its true too much of any party is a bad thing!

Are you kidding? Team Romney and the other GOP candidates were highly upset when Palin showed up in Iowa and drew massive crowds at her speech that dwarfed the crowds at their speeches. She resonates with tens of millions and that is one of the reasons Romney refused to invite her to speak at the convention. When he did that he pissed of tens millions of conservative Palin supporters who in turn sat home on election night because of it.

I disagree. I think a lot of people who have concerns about big government would consider her a lightweight or a sideshow. And I think she has cultivated that sideshow image herself - I don't think she has any intention of ever getting involved with the messy policy stuff again.

Again, this isn't a bad thing, but she is more of a niche performer than somebody with wide appeal. She garners a lot of attention (as this thread illustrates), but attention and appeal aren't the same things.

Not only was she "not prepared", I've read that she refused, in some cases, to be prepared, for ex, refusing to prep for some appearances. (Can't remember which now.)

She motivates a tiny portion of the country, the rest of the country couldn't care less about Palin.

As for Obama, he admitted several times before his nomination by the DNC that he had no foreign policy experience whatsoever, and even in one of the debates (I think the last one) I remember he admitted he had zero foreign policy experience when someone brought up how he would handle Iran.
So, he was honest and she wasn't. Just gave a long, rambling incoherent answer about politics as usual, fat cats in Washington and good ole boys. She answered every question like that.

Another lie. In the interview when asked, Palin at first said "all of them," because she went on to explain that they collectively pledged their lives and fortunes to gaining Independence for America. After Beck rudely interrupted her with "bullcrap," she finished her sentence and then said George Washington would have to be her choice because he really led them. So she did name a founding father. Stop with your false abfuscations.
