You've defended Stalin just as much as I've defended Hitler or terrorists.
The vast majority of American and British pilots, statistically, would've been at least nominal Christians, certainly. I don't know how devout they were, but not all mujaheddin are especially devout either.
Wait a second, you've reverted to speculation as a point to argue. The US military is not fighting for a religion, and is comprised of members of every religion on the planet. The Mujahideen is operating on a blanket Fatwa against the west. Anyone fighting for them is fighting for some level of Islam, making them religious fighters.
BTW, a Fatwa is basically the equivalent of the Pope blessing the Crusades. Shows how the Islamist mindset is stuck in the middle ages.
