So Israel should be criticized because it's better at defending itself than Hamas is at attacking?

The Palestinians have shat in their own nest and are now going to suffer for it.

They just don't understand (or care?) that Israel actually gears-up for this kind of stuff. They spend a ton of money on defense ( and we give them more money that we do any other nation) and they have one of the finest militaries on the planet.

And they love to kill terrorists.

Bad combo for Palestine.

As long as there is a hardliner like Netanyahu in charge, those borders ain't going nowhere. Except maybe outwards!
None of you seem to have a clue or a conscience.

The first point that apparently is a secret to you lovers of ethnic cleansing is that Hamas was created by Israeli intelligence, in order to fracture the political consensus forming around the PLO and Arafat. Of course, this explains why (if it has even occurred to some of you to think) the very moment pressure is the highest on Israel to temper their genocidal behavior, and really commit to peace, Hamas conveniently commits some act tat Israel can use as an excuse to reject any notion of peace.

Right on cue, those dumb Palestinians shoot themselves in the foot, and alienate the international support that was coming to their rescue. Imagine that! Well, imagine this ... just as Al Qaeda was created by the CIA, so too was Hamas created by mossad, and serves israel's purpose as the bad guy that gives them Cart Blanche to do whatever the hell they want to do, just like the boogie man Osama Bin Laden gave our War mongers the license to blow up countries under the pretext of fighting dem darn "terrusts".

You may now return to your TV sets and resume drooling.

Actually given the asymmetrical strength of the two sides the Israelis are perfectly capable of enforcing peace by demonstrating a willingness to utilize a sufficient proportion of their ability to apply violence in response to violence against them in conjunction with no longer rewarding the Palestinians for pulling nonsense like kidnappings by paying their ransom demands, or rewarding rockets or suicide bombs by giving concessions for them to stop.

A negotiated two state settlement is obviously the best long term solution but until then the Israelis shouldn't put up with terrorism when they have the capability to stop it.

A bargain for whom exactly? The Palestinians aren't bothering me. They aren't bothering you either.

What am I getting for 3 billion?

I think one state, one vote. Arabs and Jews peacefully co-existing, inter-marrying, having families....I suppose that's a dream.

They don't need U.S. military aid. If anything, it's a hindrance to them. Israel can easily raise that same 3 billion dollars privately.

Read all about it here in this recent Congressional Report:

http://fas.org/sgp/crs/mideast/RL33222.pdf

"The FY2014 Consolidated Appropriations Act (P.L. 113-76) provides the President’s full $3.1
billion
request in FMF for Israel. In addition, it provides another $504 million in funding for
research, development, and production of Israel’s Iron Dome anti-rocket system ($235 million)
and of the joint U.S.-Israel missile defense systems David’s Sling ($149.7 million), the Arrow
improvement program (or Arrow II, $44.3 million), and Arrow III ($74.7 million). "

The problem is that a binational state where you mix together a first world society and economy with a typical arabs-without-oil society and economy in a small, mostly worthless in terms of resources piece of land with the Palestinians having a numeric preponderance and then on top of it the last century of history between the populations looks less like a dream for the Israelis than a nightmare.

What you're describing is perfectly possible for say people of Jewish and Arabic descent in America (and actively happens here sometimes) but in the context of the I/P conflict it's all but asking the Israelis to commit mass suicide.
