One US healthcare worker in the US has been diagnosed with Ebola. She has not died.

That pretty much sums up how some perceive the situation.

Just read Ted Cruz sent communication to the FAA asking why they have not banned flights from the three Ebola infected nations. Assuming he actually did so, why would he not be aware there are no flights?

Maybe you Ebola apologists should read the letter with corrective lenses and get it right.

Emirates flight # 237 from Dubai landed at Logan reporting 5 passengers with flu- like symptoms. None have traveled in West Africa. Flight has been isolated and responders in space suits are onboard.

This plane holds 315-451 passengers depending on how it is configured. Flight time is 12+ hours. No doubt at least 5 people getting off such a flight have flu- like symptoms, on any given day.

There was a sell off in airline stocks, following this announcement.

None of us know, with any certainty, the percentage of passengers who are Liberian nationals.

There are reportedly 20,000 Chinese working in Liberia for Chinese investments.
There are aid workers from all over the world in the infected countries.
Then there's the media.

We can tell who was in an infected country.
What else matters?

Dear Senator Cruz:

We are deeply touched by your concern regarding the terrible outbreak of Ebola in West Africa. We, like you, are very anxious to keep Ebola off all flights to and from the United States. We are currently following all protocols and recommended procedures as provided us by the CDC, the foremost expert on disease control in the United States, and the organization you should be addressing your questions to.

Sincerely,

the Federal Aviation Administration

I think they could work in one of these . . .

95 Gallon Clear Liners for Rolling Trash Carts, 2.0 Mil, | PlasticPlace.com

Maybe, one over the head, and a second one to stand in, taped to the upper one.

A little clumsy to work from, but doable, especially in poor countries.

Or, they could be modified.

Would need to take a chlorine shower before removing, but, hey, that should be the overall protocol, anyway.

Worry not, my friends... BHO said it won't be coming to the US - so not to worry...
Oh, what? It's here already? well, uh.... well, don't worry, he says they have it under control...
Uh? It's not? Well then... I'm sure he'll do like other countries are doing and cut off all international travel from those countries...

You're kidding me? He won't do that either?
Well, he'll secure the border, that'll stop it... oh wait, he won't do that either?
Well then, I guess the doctor you love that you can keep will be able to take care of you... right?
WHAT? You mean that wasn't true either?

Is there ANYTHING he's told the people of the USA that IS true?
Other than his golf score?

I know there's only one in the United States since I don't live in a cave. No, I'm talking about the number of healthcare workers who have been infected with this current strain of Ebola, which as I recall is over 400 people (over half have died).
