I love how they always attack the messenger, I read ann article it never called the doctor an idiot but say what he was doing was idiotic which is total different. idiotic means it was a dumb idea or dumb move. never anything to do with the doctors intelligent like everybody posting here. but it doesn't matter if you disagree with the messenger you can still call them vile names
HEY ANN - he may not have been a perfect human with perfect judgment, but at least he was doing SOMETHING in his life, both during his time in the USA and Africa, to help others and at least try to make the world better. I don't hold Ms. Coulter in high enough esteem to allow her to bother me. Ditto with lamebrains such as Palin, Bachmann, West, Cruz, Limbaugh, Hannity, and their ilk. My objective in those cases is to merely point and laugh.
I don't know his medical back ground. Was he qualified to treat people with Ebola? If not then he is an idiot. Well intentioned, but an idiot. Ebola is one nasty disease and should be left to the experts.
I don't believe that he went there to treat Ebola.....he just happened to be there....and then Ebola happened. There's a great deal of dead healthcare workers native to that area who never expected to have to treat Ebola since it had never previously appeared in those area's.
In a situation like that, do you run off and abandon sick people? Or do you do your best, knowing the risks that are present. This doctor should be commended for not cutting and running at the first sign of trouble.
Why is it conservatives don't adopt the same attitude when our government goes halfway around the world to help others when there are so many who could use help here?
