I'm pretty conservative in many ways, I'm just not a fan of being irrationally afraid of things just because the media tells me that I should be. Abandoning Americans to die just because some hysterics are ignorant to medical science doesn't make an iota of sense to me.

They're both funny in that snarky, mean-spirited way they have. Did you know they're longtime friends? I find that people who agree with someone's opinions will find their jokes funny, while not finding other people's jokes funny at all if they're of a different political persuasion.

Oh, and both are definitely doing it to try to reach their audiences and sell books/documentaries/advertising/themselves.

Some of us choose to live in our own tiny world afraid of everything that is out there. And some would never lift a hand for those in need because it might adversely affect them. I'm sure if this doctor died his wife would be extremely proud of him. He wasn't afraid to put his life on the line to help others. Would you do that, obviously not.

I'm confused as to why this guy would be an "*******" but someone that puts their life on the line to be a soldier is a "hero." They both sign up for something knowing full well all the dangers that their decision could pose.

Dr. Brantly decided to give of himself to help others who are substantially less fortunate. He went of his own volition and when this Ebola outbreak hit, instead of running away, he opted to stay and continue to care for the sick and dying. To me, that's pretty heroic and noble.

How is it "self centered to not want to bring one of the worlds deadliest diseases to our nation?

I don't think it's self centered. If we have to bring them here to help them...so be it. Why are you so afraid of everything. You want a gun to protect yourself because you are so afraid. A lot of us are not that paranoid. We can give them the best medical care.

There is no, only your side, he could have been treated in that nation with and by aid workers..

Why would you risk the lives of 300,000,000 Americans to save one life? Its a risk to reward ratio and it was not a smart move..

I am sorry but epidemics have killed more people then war, hunger, poverty, genocide, democide, and crime combined.

I am not afraid of it, because I am taking actions to best protect myself against it should it happen, I am not the one bring infected people to our nation where, God forbid this virus mutates and break quarantine.

Natalie, I and tens of millions of other people will not risk our lives, our future and that of all of Western Civilization to sooth your emotionalist gilt.
