Artificial intelligence combined with computers, robots and 3D Printing are going to eliminate millions of jobs throughout the world in the next 20 years. What we are seeing now is at best the tip of the iceberg.

Not all low skilled people can increase their skills. Besides, if everyone increased their skills, you'd have a lot of highly skilled unemployed people.

This won't only affect the low skilled jobs. It's going to eliminate an awful lot of high skilled jobs as well. You think the gap between the rich and poor is big now, just wait.

It's a global situation.

Who knows? Maybe it will eventually get to the point that it is necessary to strongly discourage reckless expansion of the population because it will be impossible to employ them. No Medicaid for more than one child. No dependent credit beyond one. No TANF beyond one. Cap EITC to one child. Limit SNAP to one child and so on.
