Why don't YOU read then title of this thread and start your own about Clinton obsession?

Despite attempts at revising history, NOTHING Clinton did/didn't do is relevant to whether finding old WMDs in Iraq makes Bush's response to 9/11 appropriate.

On the basis of these documents and other indicators, the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom asserted that Iraq violated United Nations Iraq sanctions by attempting to procure nuclear material for the purpose of creating weapons of mass destruction. "
It wasn't only about the yellowcake. Don't know why some obsess on that.

Do you know why some obsess on Clinton when he's not the topic?

Clinton left office 0n January 20, 2001, the United States was attacked on September 11, 2001. The assessment of threats to the US in the world should have changed on September 12, 2001 and had nothing to do with Clinton's assessment at that point.

Actually, it does. The Iraq Liberation Act, signed by Clinton in 1998. The liberation of Iraq was the goal. Clinton signed and approved.

Which part of " procure nuclear material for the purpose of creating weapons of mass destruction. " do you not understand?

Yes. In this context at that time weapons of mass destruction implied (and meant) nuclear.

As time goes by President Bush is being vindicated in public opinion. The information from the Clinton Administration and Gorge Tenet was good information.

Your own cite has this to say: "The United States had gone to war declaring it must destroy an active weapons of mass destruction program. Instead, American troops gradually found and ultimately suffered from the remnants of long-abandoned programs, built in close collaboration with the West."

Yes, there was rusty pre-1991 crap. Nothing capable of being fired, nothing capable of hurting anyone unless you insisted on being right on top of it - which is, of course, where GWB obligingly sent a bunch of kids to be.

Stop trying to make "GWB was right" happen. It isn't going to happen.

What part of WMD do you not understand?

Again, for the clueless :

FBI WMD FAQs

Even Democrat Clinton adhered to that definition when he launched attacks against Iraq.
