Why? What did they really do that you think merits expulsion? A picture with a legal product is enough for you?? That's crazy talk, you know that, right?

What if the photo of shooting guns was posted to the internet just after a major school shooting and was titled "Prom"?

I'm not saying that punishment here was justified, but to ignore the circumstances and just start screaming about *******s and liberalism being a mental disorder is a nutty reaction. There was a legitimate concern expressed by students and parents, and it's something the school certainly had to address.

Maybe they could have just talked to them instead of jumping to the suspension and apparently thinking of expulsion? This would be a more common sense approach after all. What happened to employing a bit of common sense?

There is no legitimate concerns of a photo taken of two children holding a toy in private home, unless one is a complete idiot..

Again, what if this was a photo of them shooting guns in a gun range?

Ahh, see but the school didnt even have authority to talk to them.

The photo was taken at a home, not within schools jurisdiction. If the school had a concern they could have called and had the police investigate..

Thats what they are for..

Like I said, I'm not sure the punishment or any punishment was appropriate. And for all we know, they did talk to the student and her parents - in fact, I'd be shocked if they didn't. Maybe the student's a total wackjob who's been in trouble and violent and threatening in the past.

Not crazy at all. They took pictures of themselves with guns, called it Homecoming. That insinuates terroristic activity at a school function. That so many of you don't get that, is scary.

First, they're airsoft guns. Those are toys. Second, it's a legal product even if some of you dislike that. Third, they were dressed for homecoming hence the whole homecoming tag. Fourth, they could have just flipping asked the parents if there was concern or reported it to the police if they thought there was a genuine threat. Finally, you really think insinuating something without actual proof of their intentions is enough to warrant expulsion???? Also, you're advocating expelling these students for potential thoughts that apparently they didn't even have. That's crazy and the fact that you don't get that is incredibly scary.
