Why bother with bipartisanship right? Elections have consequences, might makes right, that's the liberal democratic way, right up until it gets to the Senate and Reid blocks everything that lands on his desk.

I think there have been 18+/- shutdowns over the past 40 years. The 80's were rough. If memory serves, the shut downs ended up costing more than not shutting down.

Actually our taxes are still paying off FDR's New Deal, & LBJ's Great Society.

It has been awhile but last time I looked, we are on the hook for 104 TRILLION, yes, that is TRILLION with a T, of unfunded liabilities.

Did you seriously believe Nancy Pelosi was still the Speaker of the House, or did you mistakenly think we were talking about the senate ?????
Controlling the majority of Congress means both houses.

Like President Obama once said in 2009 "I won" and was cheered for it, kinda set the modern standard.

The whip count says they need 70 Democratic votes to pass this bill, that means about 86 republicans are going to vote no.

It passed a procedural vote.

All Dems voted against it.

They purposefully caused a shut down. Thats why I dont blame Democrats. 3 days ago, this bill would have passed even with those 86 republicans voting no.

Then we heard what was in it and what was attached to it and they lost not only Democratic votes, but many of their own Republican votes.

Thats not something you can blame on both sides.

Thats like blaming the hostage for not cooperating.

This reminds me of how democrats rammed Obamacare down the throats of an unwilling American public.
Will you deny that happening as well as Obama not negotiating with congress before the last "shutdown"?
