Very good point, the black lung benefit is paid for by current mining operations.

The flaw is in percentages. The smaller % can't have more of anything than the larger percentage!

Common sense.....No special degree needed.

Let's say Whites are 200,000,000 of the US Population (estimates only for this discussion). What is 30% of 200,000,000? Wouldn't that be?

Now on to Blacks who represent 33,000,000 of the US population. Is the 30% of this amount the same as the larger group above? No it's not. Is 40% of this amount as the larger group above? No it's not....

Would this be why California & Florida welcome illegals and welfare......guess a state can't get more "family friendly" than they are!

From my own experience and knowing white women and welfare.......most white women were shamed by their family. There was a time one would pick corn, before taking welfare to feed their children. One might have been better off to tell the family they were moving to another state, than admit they just signed up for welfare.

It did say this was part of the government payments:The following is a list of the major transfer payment categories and their components.

Retirement and disability insurance benefits: Consist of old-age, survivors, and disability (OASDI) benefits; railroad retirement and disability benefits; Federal and State workers' compensation; temporary disability benefits; black lung benefits; and Pension Benefit Guaranty benefits.

Common sense dictates if you have two vastly different population numbers you need to account for that to make any meaningful comparison.

However if that is the argument you want to stick with fine then becsue you just obliterated any arguments you can make about high poverty rates in the black community.

Those who complain about entitlements the most are just jealous that they don't qualify for them.

Even some people who ARE ON THEM act like the dole should have closed after them!

These threads have been done a lot.

Two things usually happen, racists and many many conservatives blame black people and Mexican people for those stats. Which is of course wrong, and ignorant.

And some people who identify at least nominally with the Democrats side, say horrible things about Americans from the south.

The reality is yes the Southern states are poorer the rest of America. Thus the reality for a Democrats when you speak of helping the poor you are speaking about people who live in states that might not support the Democratic presidential nominee.

So what, improving those people's lives is the goal.

Plus, these Americans are dealing with a political party that at the national level is insane, irrational, and wrong about everything.

Here are but a few examples of how wrong.

Remember conservatives fear mongering that Ebola was going to ravage America and suggested the utterly racist idea that we should ban all West Africans to stop its advance; We didn't ban West Africans and lo and be hold, conservatives wrong,

Remember when conservatives were fear mongering over Central American immigrants are going to over run the nation, this problem will last for years, and they'll never be deported; they were 100% wrong,

Remember conservatives fear mongering over the IRS scandal that President Obama used the IRS to hurt conservative political organizations; a lie and wrong,

Remember conservatives were fear mongering over Benghazi that President Obama let those people die, then lied about blaming a video; a lie and wrong,

Remember conservatives lying about how enhanced interrogation wasn't torture and all those people suffered was water boarding? And how these tactics produced actionable intelligence? conservatives have dropped all those lies, now conservatives admit hey we just support torture.

Remember conservatives and the too numerous to list lies about Affordable care act, not one has been correct on that one

Remember conservatives dire predictions about the negative impact the stimulus would have, higher inflation, China owning all our debt, exploding deficits, a worthless dollar, a depressed stock market, conservatives wrong.

Let's not forget the disastrous support for the war in Iraq and their dumb predictions about the outcome of that war. conservatives wrong

If you live in the Twin Cities, you'd be right. 3.2%, lowest among metro areas larger than 1,000,000 people.

States don't vote- people do.

The majority of those US citizens on foodstamps or welfare are democrats.

Just another distortion of the facts (that most of those dependent citizens are democrats) by the left in order to confuse and conceal the truth.
