Why is your outrage directed at a gun that killed 323 instead of the 6000 weapon. Hammers and fists are responsible for more death each year than any type of rifle according to the FBI.

[quote=Eggboxes;37739267]People who buy guns for personal protection are the real idiots.

You are 43 times more likely to have the gun taken from your hands and used against you.

That is truly idiotic.

Also, learn how to post a link.

The military uses machine guns. The civilian "assault weapon" only looks like military machine guns. The don't operate in full auto mode.
You are buying into the media anti gun narrative. Just because the civilian assault weapon looks like the military version doesn't mean it operates like it.

Did you even read your link?:

"While Kellerman has backed away from his previous statement that people are “43 times more likely” to be murdered in their own home if they own and keep a gun in their home, he still proposes that the risk is 2.7 times higher."

"Several academic papers have been published severely questioning Kellerman's methodology, selective capture of data, and refusal to provide raw data from his gun-risk studies so as to substantiate his methods and result validity."

More likely than what?
Have you taken the time to research the statistics showing how many times firearms are successfully used in self defense each year?
My job is to teach firearms training to people wanting to obtain their concealed carry license. I am well versed in these stats. Look it up.

Generally you release data for peer review. Unless you're a left-wing gun hater on a mission.
