This is classic slippery slope social justice strategy where the least probable future outcome is used to define the current situation. This makes it possible to make a future sociopathic killer out of a grade school kid who chewed a pop tart into the shape of a gun. In a sane world the liberal slippery slope tactics would be considered tin foil hat fringe conspiracy theory.
Consider when the pizza guy said he wouldn't cater gay wedding, that was included in the declaration he would not do catering. No catering of any kind. Ask if they would cater a dog's birthday...same answer.

But why do they have to shut their doors? Are protesters being bused in from South Bend or are locals picketing their business? Don't answer the phone til it dies down but I've heard nothing about harassment at their front door. It's a pizza and ice cream shop in a small town - I doubt they have much delivery business that would be affected by the phone.

They've received death threats, arson threats, and had their comport system hacked. They said they are closing their doors for their safety and the safety of their employees.

Which shows that they are not discriminating based on sexual orientation. It is the religiously offensive ceremony that they are discriminating against.

I can believe it, in this day of instant rage and hatred on social media. As I have said before, the 'internet' has provided a lot of good, but more than enough evil.
While no doubt a good portion of the nutters making threats were just 'venting', it only takes one nut to cause damage to someone or their business.
This was nothing more than people with a political agenda fabricating a story to further a personal agenda.
