I agree. And that is wrong. Education is not a proper function of government in a free country.
First you have the issue of forced redistribution of wealth. The opposite of free is forced. Property taxes are not voluntary. Next you have political agendas forced on children. Very wrong. It is not a proper function of government to brainwash children. The only time government should be involved is if there is criminal activity in schools.
Education promotes welfare of the American people. A lot of people would not be able to afford education if it was completely private.
Your experience with public education is indicative that you live in a horrible area with a horrible school system. Make a change in your local area or move out to a decent area.

How can public school be outlawed? As the OP said, it promotes the welfare of Americans. A lot of people would not be able to afford education if it was completely private and that would result in chaos.
the people in public schools are hardly being educated. They are being indoctrinated, not educated. Most of them can't even spell even after graduating. Pathetic. Public education is a sham. Everyone should be schooled privately or by privately funded schools.
Of course you ignore the fact that the vast majority of students that attend top institutions of higher education attended public school and top innovators in the U.S. are the result of public schools.

You should consider reading the first paragraph of the Constitution of the United States. It's well known that ,any liberals, like yourself, have hippy views in regards to public education and complete disregard the Constitution and what America is all about.
This topic has been reviewed by scholars and my fellow Constitutional lawyers repeatedly over the years. Often at the request of people who share your liberal views. The result is the same every time. The United States generates a well-educated population that is highly functional for a nation of its size. This is highly attributed to public education.
Again, I suggest you read the Constitution. Perhaps without such a liberal bias.
