Where were you in 1979? How many times do Iranian Mullahs have to lead public chants of "Death To America" before it means anything to you?

Do you have any idea who we are dealing with?

In 1979 those people overthrew the U.S. backed dictator (The Shah). The U.S. overthrew the Iran government under Mosaddegh in 1953, and installed the Shah. The Shah repressed the Iranian people for 26 years until his overthrow in 1979. The 1953 coup the U.S. did has had huge blow back against the U.S.

This action speaks volumes about what is important to the GOP, a historic deal to prevent nuclear proliferation and suddenly it's all about Israel.

Mr Kentucky Turtle has no chance of making his political gimmick work.

Funny how his GOP senate can't do anything. They sure spewed a lot of bold talk a few months back. Kinda weak on backing it up with any action.

A hint. It wouldn't. They would trade with Iran as they please, ignoring the US.
Again, after this deal is signed they can trade with the rest of the world, but yes congress increasing sanctions would do little but alienate Iran and the other nations. Iran could use this as an excuse to walk away from the agreement.

All Americans get a tub of humus and McConnell gets a pony.

You're right but it never stopped them before this is just pandering to Israel, what good is it for Iran recognizing Israel, what does that even mean in substance.

It isn't designed to work. It is designed as show. It shows that they are pro-Israel, without actually getting anything from the Iranians or actually helping Israel. It's like voting against a bill that will pass overwhelmingly.

When chanting in the streets turns into something, anything actionable. Unlike our Saudi friends who never make such chants but fund 15 of their countrymen to fly planes into the World Trade Center. That's 15 of the 19 hijackers. Not single Iranian, not a one.
