Oh please, you're exaggerating those arms on the student.
He tried to place her in a choke hold at the same time the chair was tilting back, she threw her arm up, she didn't purposely punch him. It appears as if she was trying to gain balance which is a natural instinct.
As I said yesterday this cop would be fired before the week was over. He will never find a job in law enforcement again. Now the lawsuit will be filed and this little princess will collect a few hundred grand because of her bad behavior. Hopefully the rules in schools are changed and the police will have nothing to do with a child that does not listen. Yes violent behavior a cop should be involved. Anything else is up to the teachers and parents. Bottom line is don't touch a kid!!!!
Absolutely!!!!! Teachers don't want to deal with classroom discipline any more, it's their classroom and their kids, deal with them. If they can't do it, they should be looking to their administration for additional training, guidance, and support rather than calling police or feeding kids Ritalin for behavioral problems. How was this done in the past? I remember teachers in the 60's, all of 4 foot nothing getting right up in the face of a 6 foot teenager and not backing down, the nonsense stopped then and there.
Grown men do not attack young girls for not getting up at the moment they demand it. Period.
The moment you assault another person, that rule is out the door.
Do you really feel females should have free reign to assault men?

That has already been covered with the link and the exact verbiage of the law.

Maybe in your neighborhood assaulting a cop is what every kid does, but that's not true for other communities.
This attitude speaks volumes.

Once a 16-year-old assaults a cop, he/she can expect to be physically and forcefully put to the ground and cuffed.
Play time is over at that time.
