What Republican Candidates? We are talking about elected Governors and average Americans.
You didn't address question.
Do you believe that Obama should have called Americans, "shameful" to the world press?
What Obama said is not what you are claiming he said.
"And when I hear folks say that, well, maybe we should just admit the Christians but not the Muslims, when I hear political leaders suggesting that there would be a religious test for which person who's fleeing from a war-torn country is admitted, when some of those folks themselves come from families who benefited from protection when they were fleeing political persecution, that's shameful," he said, his voice rising. "That's not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion."

Every last Republican candidate weighed today. And, yes, I think what the Republican candidates said was shameful and poorly timed, given the circumstances. As for what Obama said, when you quote him in context and in full I might weigh in. But you won't so.............
Here, William made it easy for you (below) and, yes, I agree with what Obama said in the unedited version.

Exactly, and distorting it is--shameful. He is right. The founders did not intend for America to be led by any religion. No matter how you try and twist it, the founders understood religion had no place in creating or enforcing national policy. They had seen the corruption first hand.
A challenge for conservatives, take the REAL quote above and find error with what he really said. A religious test isn't American and hypocrisy is shameful. You might not enjoy having your bigotry exposed, but a spade is a spade.
if Obama wants to sponsor some within his own home, that's his business. Americans aren't obligated, nor is the fed govt. authorized to take in any refugees.
And he can pat himself on the back for helping to create the refugee crisis.
I agree with the President. Americans who want to deny people from war torn countries refuge because of their faith are shameful. Its utterly disgusting.
It would be shameful if it were countries that actually like the USA. It would be shameful if we had a proper means to do background checks on these refugees. WE don't . Why do we impose in-depth checks on people applying for immigration VISA's but not refugees?
Finally what is shameful is that Obama has no issue with leaving 150,000 vets homeless, welcoming 11 million illegals, and trying to force 185,000 refugees upon our nation. That is shameful....
So do you believe that only Christians should be allowed to enter the United States?
Nope. I believe anyone we welcome here should be properly verified as to not be a threat. Security specialist seem to agree that the refugees do pose a significant risk.
You have to wonder when Muslim countries don't want anything to do with these refugees.

BUT Congress wouldn't even even deal with the crisis..and suggesting BO move to Syria is simply Juvenile Suggesting your POTUS move to Conflict Zone..yet 2 Houses ( Senate and House) refuse to deal with it make you and other's like you who hate BO sound so anti-American and Non-Patriots....Lets face it ..you are either in Office to work for ALL Americans or not?? Your response tells the tale!!
It all started the night that BO got elected back in 2008!! Blocking, obstructing everything that had any BO prints on became TOXIC to all GOPer's...You are NOW reaping the rewards....Obstructing Refugee's..CLOSING border's as well as blaming BO who's hands are tied by Majority GOP (both houses)..yet have the nerve to blame him!!
You may love it..BUT outside Countries see the juvenile attitude..bullying's not to mention calling fault when USA's leader was forced to use Bush's War measures act from 2001 in order to deal with toxic Cultish Radicals...then call fault for not getting Congresses approval...Basher's of POTUS by Political Liberal/Democrat haters has been transparent since January 2009!!
All right, he should move to Canada then. Pity that he didn't do it seven years ago, though.
