My parents and grandparents never complained though. That's just the way it was back then and should be now. But no...Obama says principle trumps safety. That's why he's a dangerous person. He's more concerned about justifying his Nobel Peace Prize than protecting the overall safety of Americans.
My husband was conceived and born in a refugee camp while his parents waited their turn. He was 5 years old when they were approved. His parents both worked on the ship in exchange for passage. As you said, it just was the way it was back then.

Once here they got busy creating an anchor baby to secure a pathway to citizenship.
BTW, his parents never assimilated, learned anything about the US or learned English, despite becoming citizens.

I have no clue why Obama wants to allow any refugees from anywhere at this point in time other than UN pressure. We have more than enough issues with illegal immigration to sort out before allowing incremental immigration.

It's the first time for a lot of things under Obama.

No one sized him up better than the prescient Alan Keyes.

That is what this topic is about.

Please tell us if you think it is OK for Obama to call Americans "shameful" to the rest of the world.
The idea of racial screening is what he referred to as shameful.

He actually thinks that his pacification to muslims and minorities make us have a "nice" image in the world. It actually makes us LOOK weak . Very Weak. His foreign policy, to immigration policy to everything else is a failure. Then he wants to jepordize our national security and take in refugees from a WAR he and his saudi brothers directly are making worst.

Im so glad i never voted for him. I actually decided not to vote in the last election because both of presidential nominees were smucks

Finally what is shameful is that Obama has no issue with leaving 150,000 vets homeless, welcoming 11 million illegals, and trying to force 185,000 refugees upon our nation. That is shameful....
People do not flee countries that think like the US, whatever that means.

Anyone remember our first amendment? If we have a religious test for anyone, the terrorists have successfully chipped away at our freedom.

We should be using any and every test we want and feel necessary in admitting immigrants and refugees. The constitution doesn't dictate immigration law and policy and who gets admitted. It only directs policy and law applying to US citizen and legals inside the US. Every person living in the world who isn't an US citizen isn't under the protection of the US constitution.
