I used to be into guns and gun culture but have personally been turned off by what it has turned into.
An example you may have access to is a show called Alone on I believe history channel this last year. One of the men almost cried because he did not have his pacifier, errrr, gun.
It was pretty pathetic IMHO.
What is pathetic is you basing opinion/decisions on a scripted reality show

What is pathetic is that you read a post and just from the words written think that is the entirety of the story.
I clearly stated "An example you may have access to" because you do not have access to my life experience. I have met more than a few people like that person. Amazingly none of them had served.
Luckily in the US a person does not need to demonstrate any kind of intellect to purchase a gun.
That was the response to your question to another poster. The dude I was responding to mentioned a quote from a cowboy movie as an excuse/explanation/whatever. I did not bring this up, some chairborne ranger proved it for me.

One person proves " They all think they are cowboys."?
So your basing your opinion on a 'reality' show on the history channel?
You were into gun culture? OOOOook.
No, I am not basing my opinion on a reality show. I just used it as an example that you may have access to and actually stated that clearly in my post. It is clear that reading comprehension is not one of your attributes.
It says to both "gun nuts", "anti-gun nuts" and the 99.9999% majority of people who are not "nuts" to carry concealed and not display a handgun. Nothing more.
Actually this article is leaving a lot out. We had a person that unholstered and displaying handgun in a public area (in itself, probably against the law unless your life was in danger) at 2AM, that we know. Perhaps while engaging in a questionable activity in a questionable neighborhood. We can only assume. Once again the 99.99999% of people that are not nuts do not go around showing handguns at 2AM in public.
There is so little info in the article that it could be the gun was unloaded, while the perp had a loaded gun. So our lesson is this: - ALWAYS CARRY A LOADED GUN -
, otherwise you are carrying nothing more than a brick.
If that was just one example, I can't imagine the rest of the story is much better...
LOL, it is funny that you are trying to use an offhand comment I made that is a readily available example to anyone willing to look as a way to validate your viewpoint. You must be very insecure to be so desperate.
Have you served?
