My company was going to get hit with a big penalty or "tax" because ou=r insurance covered over and above the "Platinum" BS, so rather than pay another 40% on top of cost of what they were already paying, they were basically forced into reducing the plan to one of the best "Platinum" plans.
You can lie if you want, and I'm sure Obama will be proud of you for doing so, but don't expect ME to believe you or him.
Those who now can, can only because their true costs are heavily subsidized with OPM. I can have all the empathy/sympathy/compassion as exists in the socialist liberals' heart, but that does not mean that I am motivated to subsidize with my hard-earned money what others want or need. You're very free with the idea of spending the money that others have earned.
Fair? I do not think that means what you think it means.

Oh really? Pre existing conditions are now covered. Scores of people benefit from that. And if your plan sucks, change it instead of complaining incessantly.
I have what my employer (or my wife's employer) offer to choose from.
Any subject which involves financial outlay by some, and the discussion includes the phrase "scores will benefit" means that some are going to be unfairly taxed or burdened while others who contribute at a lesser level get a benefit which far exceeds their contribution.

Oh well, we all pay into things which we don't agree with or which we don't use. Too bad. Everyone benefits by the way, you simply choose to overlook that very simple fact.
By the way, you can opt out of your employer provided coverage & get your own. Again, people have choices, many choices. Some just choose to pout & whine about it.

I certainly don't benefit, so your statement that "everyone benefits" is untrue.

And you have the choice of providing your own healthcare coverage by the sweat of your own brow, but why do that when others will provide it for you, right?
And some choose to look for any teat to suck on, no matter how it impacts others. Even when it amounts to theft.
Like many things, he knew his audience and his audience wants to clap like seals for a free fish....he just lied....and it worked like magic.....1/2 of the country wants the other 1/2 to pay for everything...it's that simple.

Seals are at least cute.
I'd give them free fish anyway.
