Mostly the option of immunity is to avoid the Witch Hunt prone Congress from trying to misconstrue anything he may say to the FBI for political stage setting of a phony crime investigation. Certainly GOP Congress Gowdy Doody Committee wouldn't do that .... right?

How much denial are you in? This is an IT drone we are talking about. This is a non-political job. And he needed immunity just to discuss her activities.

It was granted very lightly, because the guy has not been suspected of any crime, he plead the 5th just to be double-sure he was not getting into any trouble by discussing it. So, they told him he has immunity so he can speak without worries. Judging by the way these "investigations" (witch hunts) have been conducted in the past, I would not say anything either. They'll burn you just for being registered to the wrong party, or working for people in the wrong party. It's pretty scary, actually. It is also one of the reasons why people support people like Trump, who is not associated with such BS. They are tired of political games and corruption.

This guy previously invoked the fifth when questioned and did not say anything. The FBI must have uncovered information to hold against him, or why else would he have incentive to say anything further? It will be fun to see some of Hill's other henchmen scramble now - bc once the damn cracks, people start getting nervous about what will be said and they start looking to cut their own deal.

Only emails? Let me ask, if you were an asset of the CIA in a foreign country, or a CIA employee in a foreign country, would you be happy to know that "just an email" with your information, was located on an unsecured server in someone bathroom? I DON'T THINK SO!

Now if it was whether or not you were late for your yoga class I could see there would be no problem However, this woman, received and forwarded secret information, including 22 that are noted to be TOP SECRET!

And please, the secretary of state should know what is confidential and what isn't. And don't pull the liberal loving Hillary BS that those 22 TS emails were from a NYT article, they weren't. If they were, they would not be TS anymore.

And also, the SENDER decides the classification of an email, so they came in as TS. Now, is she responsible for someone sending TS emails to here? NO, she isn't. Can't blame that on her. I can blame as do many that she should never have had a private server where TS info could have been received.

And so far, she has changed her lies from "I never received," to "they weren't TS when received." The woman can't even keep her stories straight.

But her biggest problem is yet to come. That is her intermingling of her state job with the fees to hubby and the favors given for those fees. Just wait....

But Lynch will never prosecute, even if the FBI recommends it. Lynch is just an obama pawn.

But she better beat Trump, if she doesn't, and the next AG goes with a prosecution, she could get fitted for that orange jumpsuit she rightly deserves.

ROFL... the FBI does not hand out immunity like they are handing out bubble gum.

We know you are blind partisan and we'll hang onto the end trying to make excuses but the ledge you are on just got a lot narrower.

Good grief, the immunity is for an ongoing FBI criminal investigation, not some freaking Congressional inquiry.

So no, they FBI would not be granting immunity over what the congress might do.

Besides, FBI immunity would not transcend into other government branches. The FBI is in the Executive Branch, the Congress is the legislative branch.

Why would it have to be something against him?

They want to ask him questions to clarify something. He didn't talk in the past, because he was afraid of getting burned by the witch hunters. I don't blame him.

From what I have read my understanding of Comey is that he's a stand up take no prisoners type of guy that is not going to let politics get involved with this investigation. You probably could not have better person in this position that should satisfy both sides of the political spectrum.

When the investigation is complete they will make their recommendation to the AG and if that recommendation is too prosecute whomever the AG is going to have little choice in the matter.
