He’s never made a serious effort to expand his base. His only play is to divide the country as much as possible and bet he can get his side mad enough to outvote the other side.

Now let that sink in. It's only going to get worse.

The day is coming when tRump will look back and think, "That 36% wasn't so bad, after all."

And America will wonder, "Why isn't he gone yet?"

Most humans have a ace up their sleeve - that is, when they admit failure a lot of people will forgive them and even come to their side. Witness Reagan...his admin has more criminals than any in history (indicted members)....but when he personally stood before the Nation and was slightly cowed (although he said he didn't know about it - fat chance!), all was forgiven.

I don't think Trump has that reserve.....that is, he's not a forgivable type of character. In fact, he's the type who you want to see go down and down and down and down because.....

1. He deserves it.....no punishment, not even death for treason (which isn't gonna happen) is enough considering the suffering he is responsible for....

2. Although we know life is not fair, it's important for all the crooks and would-be crooks to see what happens when you are using the public trust for selfish reasons....for this reason, I'd love to see dozens of his cohorts go down.

No, life won't become fair if this happens. Crime pays. It is only our individual honor and ethics that keeps us on the straight and narrow.

Trump's poll #'s are trending back downward, the IBD/TIPP poll was similar to the ABC/WAPO poll and the YourGov poll of Aug 29th-30th is similar as well.

Both RCP and 538 (which look at the average of all the polls though with different methods) both show him dropping, RCP has him at 42.2, and 538 at 40.3, his lowest level in both measurements since April. However, it is not quite the low point in his Presidency, that was reached last December (Trump bottomed out around 37 on RCP and 36.4 on 538).

Why do you think the death penalty for treason won't apply? Seems to me a huge example should be made of all participants to prevent this from happening again.
The deeds are turning out to rise to the occasion.

The plot to defraud Americans goes back quite a ways and consists of lots of players. So emboldened even to lie as they have then they only get 6 months??

I imagine its worth it to get the big cheese.
Typical mafia style takedown by law enforcement.

I just clicked on that link and looked at some of the polls in detail. I was stunned to see that the IBD/TIPP Poll - which was the ONLY poll that said Trump had a good chance of winning - now has Trump's numbers at an abysmal 36% approval rating!
