If he left the presidency and started a tv network, the hardcore tribe would follow him there. He would have instant ratings, which is all he really cares about anyhow.

I don't think his behavior during the McCain service helped, and that bratty kid of his --Jr.--is not helping. Now we know he's definitely not the smart one.
There is no "smart one" in that family of grifters. Uday and Qusay Trump.. aka Beavis and Butt Head along with their crook of a sister and brother-in-law have been laying relatively low lately...we can only wonder why.

The day is not far off when tRump will see 36% approval as a sky-high unattainable dream.

As the economy slows down as a result of his trade wars, massive record deficits and cancellation of pre-existing agreements, millions who now approve because they only pay attention to their immediate situations, will take notice and suddenly take a short term interest in politics. They won't approve of what they'll see.

You don't have to be a stable genius to see it coming.

If polls were worth anything, Hillary would have been coronated after Obama's fourth term.

Trump is doing just fine despite the unprecedented, unrelenting, all out war to delegitimize his election.

In fact he is doing amazingly well.

Trump is our only hope.

I am sure you know as most of us do: that drop was based pretty much on his reaction to McCain. other stuff played a small part, but not like that one incident. I am guessing, unless something more comes up in the next month you will see the polls swing back a bit. Plus let's take a look at what polls you are watching? Remember most lean to the left.

What too many of you seem to be having trouble realizing is: most of those who voted for him did so because we could not stand Clinton or anything to do with the name. Many of us would love to have had another choice. We simply didn't. And most of us, like his personality or not would do it over again. His personality and mannerism sucks, his accomplishments are thumbs UP!!! At least in my opinion and I am sure many agree with me.

In theory, his base should care that he:
  • lied
  • committed adultery
Considering his base is partially evangelicals - you'd think breaking commandments and whatnot would be problematic. Of course, I'm not sure that's why he is seeing a drop in his approval. His base is steadfast. However, it could be that before this, there was plausible deniability. That's out the window now. However, the only thing Trump still has to keep that part of his base together is that they may be ok with a hypocrite as long as that hypocrite keeps saying the things they want to hear:

- no gay marriage
- no abortions
- you can't say Merry Christmas if I'm not President
OMG how in the world can you bring up the adultery after what Pres Clinton was impeached for? Let's talk about that and lying. Or how about Kennedy and adultery?

BTW, most of his base do not give a rat's behind about who is gay or straight and most of us are not in favor of NO ABORTIONS or let's say we do not think Rowe verses Wade will ever be overturned or should be for that matter.

40% is scraping the bottom of the barrel especially when you consider a vast amounts of those are:

1. Men....of a certain variety (they approve of puzzy grabbing and wish it was them paying off porn stars).

2. Uneducated - well, Trump says he loves them....for a reason...so it's certainly not weird to call them what they are.

3. Those who make money from his policies - polluters, warmongers, fraudsters (he is taking away consumer protections) in addition to those he is blatantly paying off.

4. Evangelicals - for whom the ends are worth ANY means. Any.

Take those out of the equation and he probably doesn't hit 25%.

This leaves us with one of two conclusions......

1. The American populaces is ALL ignorant and Trumps fall in approval has nothing to do with his actions, words or other such things......

or.

2. A lot of people voted in a reactionary fashion and they are now seeing that it's (government) no joke or reality show.

Pick one.

Trump is running out of options to boost his support:

* He's already tried the tax break but added millions to the debt in the process, so that option is used up.

* The name-calling-his-opponents distraction tactic has grown really old. Not sure even his staunch supporters are taken in by it any more.

* He could still build the wall I suppose, but where's he going to get the money? Mexico?

Actually that's all I can think of.

His accomplishments at grifting speak for themselves. How does one convince themselves to believe that a POS snake oil salesman with a well documented past to prove his many nefarious dealings who set up a bogus university for the purpose of bilking hard working Americans out of their savings deserved their vote? Mind boggling!
