It might be time for Trump to write a few checks to Liberty University and get those numbers up
Imagine what they would be if the US education system wasn't total crap and people had just a modicum of intellectual honesty and curiosity. It'd be down near 0, but alas, there are so many dumb people in America who are ruled only by fear and ignorance. 39% is an embarrassment to morality, and a complete indictment on American society. It's no reason to gloat, and the current national and global situation should make every person not lobotomized by their MAGA hats fear for our future.

Yikes!

I can understand suburban men. To say its no big deal to require people to work and then not pay them would be hard for working men to go alone with.

Can also understand Republicans. Trump is giving Republicans a bad name and the longer they support him the worse it will get.

But Evangelicals? Why are Evangelicals disappointed in Trump?

Maybe they are finally sick of being hypocrites? Supporting a guy who's been married multiple times, brags about assaulting women, and slept with a porn star while his current wife was pregnant with their son?

Yup.

California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff said Sunday that President Donald Trump could "face the real prospect of jail time" after federal prosecutors said last week that the President directed his former lawyer Michael Cohen to make illegal hush-money payments during the presidential campaign.

"My takeaway is there's a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office the Justice Department may indict him, that he may be the first President in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time,"

It may be that his only reason to run for re-election is to avoid jail. There will be dozens of charges just waiting for that day.

I think it's common knowledge at this point that both Trump and his followers would consider that a good enough reason to sink the country, the stock market and not get anything done. By the time he finishes a 2nd term chances are he will be able to play the "old and sick" card.

I hope he lives until 90 or more, although given his size I can't see it.

His lackey apologists simply enable him to keep going without any negative retribution.
When all else fails. He will bring in his main stooge Giuliani with, "Truth isn't truth".

I doubt it.

Most of these fundamental and evangelical 'Christians" are unconcerned, for them it is not a moral dilemma.

People who buy into a concept like "once saved - always saved" do not necessarily see the need for a regular examination of conscience, and do not feel the need to justify their choices to themselves nor anyone else. In their own minds they do not ultimately share any responsibility for the pain and suffering that derives from their choices.

They already feel justified before their god. They can not try to be better people, because it is all a pretense to them, and an insult to God for seeming to bribe their way into heaven. They know they are dunghills covered in snow, they can not save themselves. God has already snowed on them and they are, as it were, sweet and pretty and blessed through no effort of their own, despite the filth underneath.

They can not feel like hypocrites because it is contrary to their belief system. For the system to work as they see it must, it is all in God's hands and God wants them to vote for a lying, lecherous, greedy and self centered philanderer who betrays his country. The people are not responsible for that, they don't question it, it is God's choice for them.

Unfortunately, the electoral college is a disaster for democracy, like trump said in 2012
