Ok, I'm too lazy to read this whole 113 page thread, but in case no-one mentioned it I thought I would share something I read elsewhere. If homosexual relations are wrong, we should encourage gay people to marry, since that is the best way to interfere with their sex lives. Hah!!

If any of my kids turn out to be gay, I will expect them to get married before having children, just like if they were straight.

Does the bible say anything about spending time thinking about or interfering with other people's intimate relations or sex lives?

Shouldn't anti-gay marriage activists focus on adultery and clean up their own hetero houses before telling other people all they know about marriage?

In my lifetime I haven't witnessed such a great track record for heterosexual marriage, and it seems like folks should get that one right before claiming any kind of monopoly on the institution.

How is interfering with marital rights for gays going to strengthen anyone elses heterosexual marriage?

Exactly. These people who claim to be "open-minded" are anything but.

Look at this... 113 pages because some people can't (or won't) accept others views and beliefs!

I don't know why people think that's so unsavory. It's just common sense to me. I don't care if someone calls me intolerant for it. I don't accept plenty of views I've heard of--

-those of the Westboro Baptist Church
-the many people I've encountered who think they will automatically endanger themselves infinitely if they visit an all-black area of town
-my classmate who said all gay people are pedophiles by nature
-same classmate who said Africa needed to be colonized because it was "barbaric" before
-another classmate who thinks there aren't any Christian people worth talking to about anything
-my professor from a few years ago who told us that Jews are "miserable people"
-one of my relatives who believes that all Mexicans are "liars"

I don't accept any of these beliefs; I acknowledge that people, of course, have the right to have them. To ask me to accept them is ridiculous to me. Couldn't we all make a list like this?

Did I ever say he could NOT believe that way? He can believe anyway he wants, doesn't mean it's right.

And it doesn't mean what you believe is right, either.

I have one big advantage... I have God on my side.

My 11 year old says people who try to stop gay marriage are gay, they should shut up and get a friend, gay people are cool

She also thinks they should stop straight marriage if they stop gay marriage because that would be fair, she wants the death penalty for people who try to stop gay marriage, because gay people have a right to marry just like straight people, and other people should mind their own business.

She also thinks that allowing gay marriage won't have an effect on kids turning gay, and that is just stupid.

BTW, she is an gifted and talented honors student who is described by teachers as "brilliant," in case you can't tell. Being smarter than the rest of us, she just might be on to something.

Oh, also, her question, "why would God say it's wrong, what, does he talk to people?"

She says if God is talking to people he should tell priests to stop raping kids.
