Interesting alliance to say the least since Russia is a supporter of Iran, also Israel had military operations in Syria.

Quote:
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were all smiles when they shook hands for the fourth time in a year Tuesday.
Netanyahu is in Moscow for the third time since fall 2015 to mark the 25th anniversary of Russia and Israel’s diplomatic relationship. It is therefore all the more surprising that the two men are meeting in such amicable circumstances.
Far from being traditional bedfellows, the Kremlin and Tel Aviv did not even maintain direct channels with one another until a quarter of a century ago. The Soviet Union perceived Israel as a U.S.-backed state and even motioned that the U.N. equate Zionism to racism in 1975. Israel, meanwhile, perceived Moscow as a backer of regional foes such as Syria and Egypt.

How cute to see Bebe cuddling up with one of those involved in making the Iran deal he tells us is so horrid.

It answered some questions but I just find it odd since one is a supporter of Iran and the other is an enemy.

Pretty simple. Russia has learned from its errors in the Middle East and the US has still not learned a thing from its. Russia understands the ME and can quietly keep a backdoor leash on it. Russia deals with reality and not rhetoric.

Because Israel should not hold all of its eggs in one basket, and Russia is much loyal to its allies than USA.

Perhaps because the American leftist in the Democratic Party have turned their back on Israel.

The reality is that the M.E. is far more a part of Russia's purview than it is ours. Russia and Israel share a continent, and they have more history with each other than either has with us.

In reality, Russia is the country that Israel needs to deal with first and foremost. But Americans always think they should be in the forefront of every nation's affairs.
