Nobody was put in danger quite unlike Hillary's emails.
Politicians were embarrassed at worse.
What makes you believe nobody was hurt? Aiding and abetting terrorists is definitely hurting someone. We are in a war with terrorists and preventing the government from spying on them (and I would prefer the government be able to spy on them) is hurting everyone.
"...Snowden allowed terrorists to wise up to the fact that even if you are sitting in Yemen and emailing Somalia, your communications will still often pass through the US.
...He also allowed them to figure out which companies were complying with the US government in giving access to this data. Terrorist groups quickly switched communication service providers or dropped off the electronic radar altogether...
"Snowden’s actions have also led to terrorist groups developing new encryption technology... That can mean the difference between life and death..."
Snowden also let US citizens know their own government were spying on them without probable cause. He's an American hero.
It's funny how upset those who advocate in listening in on the conversations of American citizens get upset when their conversations are intercepted and released to the citizens.
Edward Snowden...acted as his conscience dictated. Well and good. Now he must accept the consequences for his actions.
Just as Socrates accepted his death sentence..even though he was right. So should Snowden accept his sentence, without whining.
Snowden accepted all that our culture gives its citizens, so he pays for stepping over the line.
Sometimes there is a price for being so incensed that you decide that you are compelled to break the law.
Do the Crime, do the time.
I believe Ford pardoned Nixon for any crimes he may have committed.
[quote=Finn_Jarber;45105505] He granted him immunity, like Obama granted immunity to Bush & his admin. /quote]
Proclamation 4311
On September 8, 1974, Gerald Ford gave Nixon a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes he may have committed while President. Ford explained that he felt the pardon was in the best interests of the country and that the Nixon family's situation "is an American tragedy in which we all have played a part. It could go on and on and on, or someone must write the end to it. I have concluded that only I can do that, and if I can, I must."— Excerpted fromGerald Fordon Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
