Or, you could teach your kid that if he disrespects a teacher or an officer or any other authority figure that the parent will be taking care of that business once that kid gets home.

Deciding to hold court right there, in the moment, is stupid. Even if you feel that you've been "dissed" (how are the d*cks going to make it in the real world if they get butthurt every time they feel that they've been "dissed"), or disrespected, or that the principal shouldn't have done this, or the teacher shouldn't have done that, you take the stupid headphones off, at the end of the day discuss with your parents, and let the parents decide if it's worthwhile to take up with the school board and have some heads roll.

But as we can see on here, we have some Billy Bad Asses who think they're tough and will punch anyone who dares to even breathe at them incorrectly. To those types of people, my message to you is: Pisss up a rope you tosser. Enjoy prison...that's where you'll end up.

Yeah, him assaulting the Principal was a bit much.

He'll probably do some time for this.

Exactly. And this is why Detroit for instance has one drive by shooting after another over stupid things. Facebook posts, he said she said bs, etc. And I'm sure this is the root cause of some of the mass shootings we've had in the past as well. Precious snowflakes that can't handle authority or rejection.

This is why people like Michael Brown wind up dead. I don't weep too many tears when someone gets violently defiant in the course of being disciplined and is badly hurt or killed.

Not a huge los to society.

You know other school systems in countries with superior education systems do not have these problems. Now you can't touch a sullen disobedient student ? What a crock. Education or lack thereof is for ALL the students. When one acts out in a disruptive manner he needs to be quickly removed from the rest so work can proceed. Calling the police or security while the offender get's his desired attention is exactly the wrong way to handle it.
The other countries with superior education systems have almost all banned beating children.

The states that still allow this archaic practice are almost always among the worst performing in various measures.

Those are also the states with some of the highest murder rates.

Honestly, I've had to fight off someone who was attempting to kidnap me at a young age. Ever since, I am VERY skittish about being touched unexpectedly from behind. I'd probably instinctively take a swing until I realized who it was. I've made a point to warn every one of my friends to never sneak up on me.

Would you continue to beat on the person who accidentally touched you? Big difference.

Penzo continued to pounce on Tossman, socking him several times in the face, causing swelling and lacerations around both of the principal’s eyes.

I feel for you since I don't particularly like someone putting their arms around my shoulder. Or for that matter linking arms with strangers at religious services.

But somehow I don't think that's what happened here. This was a thug from the hood. You might have taken a swing but you wouldn't have beaten the person to a pulp.

And I just wonder if those children in those superior education systems have the same amount of disrespect towards authority figures as our do ?
