china has been b**ch slapping the US for a few decades now, it doesnt matter who is in the white house. they know that the US wont do anything about this except whine and complain to ambassadors and perhaps the UN which also wont do anything about it. they only time china leaves our research vessels alon is when we have the military escort them, which is what we should be doing anyway.
next time we send a research vessel into the area, escort it with a carrier battle group or two, perhaps even three.
