On this issue of 'over population' there is not one 'right' side. It is a humanity issue and I do not see us coming together to discus the real issues: Euthanasia, Birth control, One-Child policies. These are subjects that none will touch and especially the church. China just dropped their one-child policy which will even speed up the end.
Oh I agree. Remember the supposed death panels? People don't want to discuss the real issues of extended life care, birth control, etc. like you said. But that doesn't change the fact that there is a big group of people in our world who would rather bury their heads in the sand regarding the environment than do something about it.

I suggest you set a good example by apologizing to someone whose post you called -- without any justification -- "juvenile" and "pedantic."
How so? Justice is blind. How is that juvenile or pedantic? That's the underlying basis of our entire justice system.
Because the justice system isn't that simple. It never was and with good reason. There are precipitating factors in many crimes and they should be examined.

You might also give examples of "precipitating factors" and explain how they are relevant.
Most of us understand that it takes two to tango. Apparently you don't realize that.
