They are furious at Trump for not making LGBT rights a top priority but what other special things do they need?
Actually I think it is the trumpers who need "special things" . It is the alt-whites and hard rights that want to have special privileges , in fact that seems to be the hard rights whole problem. They want to be the ONLY ONES ALLOWED TO DETERMINE THE DIRECTION OF THE USA.

In my state gay can be fired for being gay. We can be refused adoption services based sexual orientation. We can be refused some medical treatments based on sexual orientation.
So yes we can get married, but there is still a fight to be treated equally.

We could say the same thing for any movement, right or left. Look at the women's March and their truth compared to many other feminist who had a different truth.
Any promotion of any group is exclusive of all others. Black lives matter, lgbt, evangelical whites...Etc. All exclusionary.

Have a gay friend who is a... Republican. Basically because he has a side business. He just ignores the religious faction as the rest more closely fit who he is. Watch stereotypes, they dont always fit. Neither he nor his partner are anything like that guy from The Birdcage.
I've known two very flamboyant gay men, and they were both a lot of fun. I'd rather hang out with them instead of an upright person who is always offended by this or that (I'm in no way saying you are uptight or anything like that, just that there are those annoyingly uptight people Ive known).
I just want to be around fun people regardless if they are black, white, gay, straight, trans, little , overly tall or even ginger. If my firstly inclination is to smile when I see you, that's all that counts. Probably the most annoying person I've ever met was a smoking hot blonde that I couldn't take for more than a minute.
Granted that I support people's rights (gay and straight) and individuals should decide who they want to marry, the government has no right to have a say.
Bathroom use.......sorry, no, until you went through a sex change surgical procedure, you should stick to the bathroom of your gender birth.......
However, the entire concept of bathroom separation is silly since who is going to "check under the hood" what sex you are?? You could have a very masculine appearance and dressed like a man but with a vagina.... Have you ever seen anyone patrolling bathroom access anyway??
I'm against employment discrimination obviously however we should be careful in avoiding that the "gay checkbox" in your job application becomes a cheap and easy protection against layoff/firing.
Finally. I think this could the liberals "next frontier".....
