He may have gone too far with a Republican Congress.
You have Republican senators like Rubio who is on the Senate Intelligence Committee saying they have no idea what he's talking about.
Trump? The official line, per Spicer, is that "neither the White House nor the president will comment further until such oversight is conducted.”
Oh really? At the same time the deputy press secretary Sanders: “Look, I
think he’s going off of information that he’s seen that has led him to believe that this is a very real potential,” Ms. Sanders said on ABC’s “This Week” program. “And if it is, this is the greatest overreach and the greatest abuse of power that I
think we have ever seen and a huge attack on democracy itself. And the American people have a right to know if this took place.”
So are we commenting here or not? The WH press office now reports on what it THINKS about the state of the President's mind? What nonsense.
Hopefully Congress will give Trump his wish and now bow to Democratic pressure to appoint a special prosecutor removing any investigations from Republican-dominated Committees.
With charges of this gravity, how could they really do otherwise?
But how does any of this really help Trump whose Saturday anger storm seemed to be sparked by his inability to make the Russian allegations/investigations go away?
It's to Congress' advantage to work with Trump. That is, until it is not. At which point they have Pence.
