At the very least, the current Idiot in Chief ought to be sued for libel if the wire-tap story is false, which most suspect it is.

Not with his "base."

Except now they prefer red.

But is it red for Russia or red for the Republicans?

Is there a difference any more?

He may have gone too far with a Republican Congress.

You have Republican senators like Rubio who is on the Senate Intelligence Committee saying they have no idea what he's talking about.

Trump? The official line, per Spicer, is that "neither the White House nor the president will comment further until such oversight is conducted.”

Oh really? At the same time the deputy press secretary Sanders: “Look, I think he’s going off of information that he’s seen that has led him to believe that this is a very real potential,” Ms. Sanders said on ABC’s “This Week” program. “And if it is, this is the greatest overreach and the greatest abuse of power that I think we have ever seen and a huge attack on democracy itself. And the American people have a right to know if this took place.”

So are we commenting here or not? The WH press office now reports on what it THINKS about the state of the President's mind? What nonsense.

Hopefully Congress will give Trump his wish and now bow to Democratic pressure to appoint a special prosecutor removing any investigations from Republican-dominated Committees.

With charges of this gravity, how could they really do otherwise?

But how does any of this really help Trump whose Saturday anger storm seemed to be sparked by his inability to make the Russian allegations/investigations go away?

It's to Congress' advantage to work with Trump. That is, until it is not. At which point they have Pence.

There were two requests for surveillance prior to the election. Both were denied, yet Obama did it anyway.

What are the chances of him being charged?
Why do you assume that the alleged wire tap must be illegal?

Do you really think that Obama copied Nixon and ordered up a black bag job?

Link to reputable source showing 1) there were FISA requests and 2) Obama ordered surveillance?

James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence during the 2016 campaign: "I can deny it. There were no FISA approved wire taps."

It's official. the highest ranking intelligence official at the time, who would have know if any FISA taps were approved to spy on Trump's campaign, has gone on record to say that it did NOT happen. THERE WERE NO WIRE TAPS ON TRUMP.

So what happens now? Either Donald Trump or James Clapper are lying. Shouldn't the burden of proof be on Trump as he's the one who tweeted the claims?

Evidence that he did something illegal?

At this point all we have are Trump's delusional tweets, and he has less credibility than Richard Nixon.
