Donald J. Trump won the electoral college and thus the presidential election. He's the President of the United States.
That said, what gets him annoyed is that 54% of the country rejected his ignorance, juvenile behavior, big government policies, lack of understanding of the economy, disregard for the constitution, and his incoherent foreign policy positions.
I also think Trump has a difficult time understanding that polling data shows his approval at 35%.
Let me also address the polling issue here. People who support Trump said the polls were wrong this election, and that is true to an extent. The polling industry has some work to do. But by how far off were these polls? Sure, they got Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania wrong. Chances are, they over sampled Democrats thinking turnout would be different. But Trump won 46% of the vote, Clinton won 48%. Most of the polls had Trump anywhere between 43 and 47% in the days before the election and had Clinton anywhere from 43 to 50%. Were they that far off? Not really, just in the electoral college because Trump managed to win three states Democrats had won since 1988. Also, approval ratings measure approval, not who shows up to the polls to vote.
So while I disagree with the OP about Trump not being the winner of the election, the OP makes a good point in that the majority of the country doesn't approve of Trump's job performance. It's no wonder. He's continuing Obama's illegal wars, sending more troops into Afghanistan, supporting Obamacare-lite legislation that doesn't address the fundamental problems with Obamacare, trying to gut a free trade agreement that has helped create American jobs, and he's making enemies left and right with leaders in Congress and with our allies across the globe.
