Listen, taking from the middle class to feed the healthcare pool for the poor didn't work. It just brought more middle class down to a poor level. Back to the drawing board is where we should be headed. OBcare just didn't work. The middle-class cant withstand being the providers for the needy.

We really need a nonprofit for all option. Let those who can afford it pay for independent supplement insurance. Hopefully, somebody will have the balls to get it done. Might not be Trump, but eventually, it will happen, its the only option which is what all other countries have figured out.

Obama promised one thing and enacted another. Doesn't make it work. It simply failed. The middle class cannot afford to carry the poor on their backs.
Thanks for offering an actual solution. I think your plan would be good but the problem would be how risk pools are formed. You need healthy people paying in too so that they could be covered if the unforeseen struck, but also because if they didn't, we would just have the sickest peoeple covered and there is simply no way the math works on that.

But that's exactly what happened with Obamacare. Not enough young, healthy people enrolled ... the premiums were too high.

Indeed, only 28% of exchange members in 2014 were in the coveted 18-34 age range, and that percentage stayed level for 2016. It's below the 40% level many actuaries say is needed to create a more stable rate environment. The insurance industry has a name for that condition, which Obamacare was designed to fight. It's called adverse selection. And so far, the ACA's medicine isn't working.

Here's an article from 2013 with a prediction which has turned out to be true.
https://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politi...-people-enroll
The worst-case scenario for Obamacare would be a “death spiral” in which not enough healthy people sign up, meaning insurance companies have mostly high-cost customers on their plans. The result would be drastically higher premiums that threaten the long-term viability of the program.

Put your own money where your mouths are and fix the problems in your own midsts before sticking your hands in our pockets to pay for others' health care.

Top 10 cities with the most homeless:

NYC
Los Angeles
Seattle
San Diego
Las Vegas
Washington, DC
Chicago
San Francisco
Honolulu
Portland

Liberals don't give a chit about the poor. They're just money grubbers, wanting to take from others.
Those cities aren't as liberal as you think. There governments are in the pockets of wealthy business interests who don't look beyond making money. Also homelessness is a national issue not one relegated to one city or another. Personally I think they should just give all the homeless free apartments get them in touch with counselors and mental health professionals attempt to help them get jobs or disability. Of course people like you would refuse to do that because thats scary socialism!

I don't think you get it I will happily pay more to do that. I'm just one person though the majority needs to get in line to support helping the underclass. It really boils down to what kind of country you want. You want a country where the poor are discarded and ignored. I want a country where they are lifted up.

My premium went from $250 to over $600. And it seems that's not enough.
I can't support myself and a poor family as well..I just can't afford it.
