I believe liberal policy is motivated by compassion and the desire to help the most people possible. That's why I identify with liberals. I think the caricature of us presented in this thread is rather interesting though. The effects of living in a right-wing echo chamber...
Likewise, liberal policy tends to be about short term and expensive solutions to long term problems i.e. Welfare programs. They don't have the desire to hold the poor accountable and want to perpetually "help them".
They only want to give a man a fish. Teaching a man to fish is considered cruel.
Its also motivated by the idea that working together improves families, communities and our nation.
The Left’s brilliant idea of social welfare programs enacted in the 60’s by the likes of Kennedy and Johnson have created whole generations of single mothers that are now dependent on the government housing and handouts and whose kids are the lifeblood of inner city gangs and crime.
That’s your improving families, communities and nation right there.
And anyone who’s brave enough, like a Trump, to try to fix this broken government welfare system is quickly shouted down by the Leftists as being racist and against the poor so the system perpetuates. The Leftist instead of realizing their mistakes, will look for scapegoats, e.g. whites, the rich, Russians, racism, sexism, and every -ism they can come up with. Their solution to their mistakes is to come up with more of their already failed ideas.
That’s not explaining. That’s just giving a fluff answer because you can’t come up with anything.
Its not a fluff answer. I'll reword for you.
Different people have different abilities, challenges, responsibilities, etc. And they live in different types of places. So this means that not everyone or even most people have the easy ability to just *poof* find a different and better paying job.

Your logic of contantly asking for 1/5 of the warehouses for free fails because, what’s the point of building, financing, buying supplies, employing workers, etc. to fill those warehouses when (under your system), one can just not do anything and still get free bread?
What good is that platitude when most of the poor are poor because they are unemployable in the first place; and you're forgetting that no one is forced to give anyone a job. There are people who look for work and no one will hire them

You have to get out of the past and into the present. There are many countries TODAY who are outperforming the US in most metrics and its due to their liberal policies.

Yes, or they are disabled or they are children or they are the elderly or they are the millions who are born into poverty and can't break out of the cycle.
And the answer you will get, even though the posters here aren't saying it in so many words is, they should just die, and decrease the surplus population. No matter how they try to disguise it, that's what they mean.

I hope this helps you.
So your solution to this problem of people having difficulty to find jobs easily is to punish the employer and drive him out of business, thus reducing even more jobs?
Only the Left can come up with brilliance like this!

There are a couple of posters who do espouse Survival of the Fittest and letting the weak die off, but I think naming them is against TOS for some reason
