And do you think our government and infrastructure pay for themselves? Money has to come from somewhere, and the vast majority are not cool with tolls and user fees, which are regressive.
So you believe in slavery?

You're free to do what you want with your OWN money. It's when you steal from others, that we have a problem.

Amazing how the argument is always framed as being totally socialist and wanting to punish the rich.....like there is no gray area that exists before that. Despite whatCDers claim, the vast .majority of people posting here are not rich.

When did I say that? No one is a slave in this country. Everyone who works gets paid, that's not slavery

So if we make America more like Mexico or Guatemala with an even worse public safety net and higher income and wealth inequality, the social problems, despair, poverty and crime rates would improve?

We are talking about taking bread from the rich and feeding the poor, not about government and infrastructure. No one is opposed to some tax that are fair but that is not the Left’s argument here. Stop making things up as you go along.

taxes dont make eliminate poverty and disease, nor do they build infrastructure, thats the myth youve bought into.
All those things are addressed by capitial, consumers and the division of labor. The state is but an uneccesary third party that leaches off the principles.
