I saw a Subaru in front of me today in traffic. I just BET it was one of those damn liberals. Know how I know? They got it from a place called "Fairway" Subaru. Fair way. Obviously socialist and obviously an agenda by the left to subconsciously spread the socialist agenda!
The only thing he said wrong is "all left". Other than that, he made a valid point.
There are SOME People take politics way too personally and seriously, and some people like to lecture others without looking themselves in the mirror first. This has nothing to do with politics.
OP has no reasons to make up a story. Some of the posters here act like bullies. Gee.

And I can't believe you guys think this is a real story. Don't you guys ever notice posting histories?
Assuming it isn't, when someone is rude to you, do you immediately ask their political affiliation? And if not, how do you know? The same is true of your encounters in Bass Pro Shops. Do you ask the typical polite shopper who they voted for in the last election? Or do you follow them out to their car to read their bumper stickers?
This is all very puzzling.
The first in the pile of lies he stated was that he was moderate democrat. That post was everything wrong with today's political discourse. Your ideology determines your level of happiness.

Trying to be nice, I pointed her to the empty lane next to me by saying "I think she's open," as the cashier was a woman.

Folks, that's what the entire Left wants. We can't even feel comfortable having a normal conversation and trying to my nice. I'm lucky I got off with merely a warning, and didn't get accused of sexual harassment.
Actually, it's what you imagine the entire left wants despite there being absolutely no basis in reality.
Let me ask a more practical question, and I really do mean this without snide insinuation, or desire to score rhetorical points: for those who for whatever reason of personal persuasion, feel discomfited by shopping in places like Whole Foods, where would they find items such as French wines, German sausages, or Russian caviar?
There are plenty of high-end groceries other than Whole Foods. Where I live now, I'd go to Tony's. Where I lived before I'd have headed to Santa Rosa Market, Oliver's, or one of many other specialty groceries. In southwest Ohio, I'd shop at Jungle Jim's or Dorothy Lane Market, which is probably closer to a Whole Foods-type store than JJ's.
Thanks for the heads up. I don't know if we have Sprouts around here, but I'll check.
You can get in and out of Sprouts in 10 minutes. We go for the bread and produce. Their prices are very competitive in Houston. Trader Joe's is here, but too far away. Lucky for us a great wine store just went in next to Sprouts.

The entire left? No, absolutely not. I have friends who lean quite left that don't agree with the be super sensitive of potential transgenders. Hell I know transgenders who are infuriated with the unwanted attention.
That said we can't deny that there is a segment of the left that absolutely takes it over the top. Usually self haters or those consumed by an over developed sense of societal guilt.

Oh for pity's sake, what's your issue with transgender people? There's a transgender manager at my local Kroger affiliate. Just do your shopping and get on with your day. No need to stop and wig out over someone wearing a dress even if you suspect there's something unexpected under her skirt.
Whole Foods is a nice grocery store. They have helpful, friendly employees, actual cashiers rather than rows of self-checkout lanes, and lots of products I like having in my pantry. I'm about as suburban as they come. I don't drive an electric car or vacation in St Moritz. I work within a budget. And I still enjoy shopping at Whole Foods.
