What crime prompted there to be a "Special Councilor"?

No one has defined the crime to start an investigation.
It has to be suspected wrongdoing not a crime to trigger a special council. The point of the special council is to determine if a crime was committed.

If he's being investigated, he'll have to stand in line behind David Nunes first.

The special counsel was appointed because the DOJ felt it was necessary because of the evidence that Russia interfered in the 2016 election. The intelligence community is in agreement on this. How the Russians interfered, why they did and who was involved is what this entire investigation is about.

Default Shifty Schiff has Twitter meltdown

“Schiff is having a bit of a meltdown. His collusion narrative collapsed, his obstruction narrative collapsed, and top executive branch investigators are being revealed as Hillary partisans and as friends of Fusion GPS. So now Schiff is introducing a new narrative: the reason why Democrats have no evidence to prove their collusion claims is because a year-long investigation wasn’t nearly long enough. It’s objectively an absurd argument, but that’s all he’s got left.”

Do we really need 3 investigations going on ?
You don't know what crime has or has not been found. Just because it hasn't been announced doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

And actually two people have already pleaded guilty to crimes.

Crimes which have nothing to do with Russia or Trump team "collusion," and Flynn only plead guilty to "lying to the FBI," which he didn't really. It was a ridiculous charge.

This investigation is has lost all credibility with what's been revealed in the last several weeks. Donations to Democrats, anti-Trump text messages discussing how they might create an "insurance policy" against him getting elected. Their is absolutely no purpose left for this ant-Trump team to continue this so-called "investigation."

This really makes the Democrats look bad.

One minor glitch that Mueller himself exposed and dealt with and all credibility goes out the window? Our president lost all credibility months ago. Time for him to go.

Always figured that Trump intended to shut down Mueller, from day 1. He's probably got some inside info about his timing, and he will fire him when he thinks he is getting close to issuing more indictments or findings. Within 6 months at the outside, I'd say. He could not care less about the damage this will cause to the nation, remember that chaos is always his friend. And the dimwits that continue to goosestep right behind this wannabe dictator will be applauding him all the way.

That isn't a crime.

That is life in a political global world, with appointed & elected officials mingling.

The parties control elections, not our government.
