It certainly is "unprecedented" - The regular Counsel for the GSA had rejected the requests for the Trump Transition Material with no warrant. He was hospitalized and later died - the new "acting" Counsel (Lenny Loewentritt) and other GSA "careerists" were thrilled to turn everything they had on the Trump Transition including equipment, phone records and emails to the Special Counsel's Office with no warrant and no due process.

Something to pay attention to here - this happened in August 2017 - over 4 months ago. We have no idea who in the Special Counsel's Office made the requests and received the records. No indication really that it was even Robert Mueller ....... could have been another James Bond Super Spy operation by Peter Strzok.

Lot's more to learn about this - at best, it was unethical - at worst, it was illegal.
Looks like some of this Transition Team information was leaked ...... that would be Criminal.

There is a reason this all came out today ...... we just don't know what that reason is yet.
We will find out and I look forward to it. I hope they need a bus to take the criminals to jail.

Adding Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act to the mix for good measure.

Unfortunately, I don't think it will matter much to Trump. If he gets his tax cut he will have achieved what he came for. He has no more interest in being president than I do. He will keep going until it gets too hot, then he will resign, blaming the media. He will then walk away with his big tax break laughing all the way to the bank.

In many ways that would be better. I seem to recall there have been a number of folks tossed out of Congress for money laundering, so it would be a charge the lawmakers are familiar with and have precedent acting on.

Then again, why not both?

The investigation has already led to two guilty pleas and two strong indictments.

You are not allowed to used that term. That is reserved for Trump followers. Nothing they say is fake news especially if comes from Fox or Breitbart.
