It's injustice and the lies my father's generation were duped and suckered into accepting that truly bothers me. And the fact that the left has the nerve to play off the dirtiest trick Americans were ever defrauded out of as if it ("diversity") was ever a legitimate concept our ancestors some how signed off on. Never happened. Therefore it is TYRANNY and illegality, ma'am.
On the contrary, I have also seen incidences where the guy gets off of a Mercedes car, wearing gold chains, brand name glasses/clothes etc. He enters into the grocery store and picks up beer and plays 100 of dollars worth of lotto and scratch tickets, for which he pays cash.
And then he grabs a loaf of bread and some milk ... for that he conveniently uses food stamps.
Wears New Nike shoes and plays basketball all day in the section 8 approved housing complexes. Looks healthy, strong and active *BUT* does not work to make a living.
So these unemployment figures could also be somewhat misleading when we think that illegal workers are taking away our jobs.
This is my personal opinion and I may be wrong but ... when we look at the unemployment figures of a certain city or state, lets say, currently 5.5% in Chicago where the population is about 2.7 million.
This does not actually mean that 150,000 odd people are lined up in front of various offices and business filling out the job applications.
A big chunk of this population is simply lazy and does not want to work. The govt punishes the hard working people by taking a chunk out of their taxes and rewards the lazy who doesn't want to work.
This in turns is interpreted as if Mexicans have taken over the jobs so we got 150K left jobless.
If someone wants to find work, they WILL find it. Guaranteed!
It's all about how serious you are in finding work and make an honest living instead of finding ways to scavenge upon social welfare and/or be involve in illegal drug trade to make a living.
In my opinion, the wide spread abuse of social welfare is perhaps an equally bigger problem as illegal immigration is. There are people on welfare who simply and happily don't want to work which could spike the official unemployment numbers.
Here's where you go wrong. All those jobs that illegal aliens took already had Americans working them for a fair wage so how were they too lazy to work, on drugs., etc.?
I agree that employers, the actual citizens this country, are the main culprit for the illegal immigration problem. They should be held accountable. Illegal immigrants are just trying to fund a better way for their family... If an employer is willing g to give it to them albeit illegally, I really can't blame the illegal. As a father I would go do anything to improve my family situation if it's bad at home... That means risky illegal activities... So be it.
Are you joking? Since when is it ok to feed your family by breaking laws and taking from others what doesn't belong to you? Americans have families to feed also. I guess their families don't matter? WTH? I can't believe that you think that illegals are blameless in all of this. What a selfish attitude!
You can spend time pissed at the Champion of Chappaquiddick or learn who else screwed us. There is plenty of blame to go around.
My favorite culprit are business owners who will employee illegals, pay millions in fines and still stay in business.
At the time that immigration law was passed, I was against it. But IMO nobody had a clue about the future amount of illegals crossing the border.
In the end, the enemy is us. We patronize the businesses who hire the illegals. A donut place in my town was fined abut 1.5 million for hiring and illegals. They were so badly treated they filed a complaint with the EEOC and won. Not one of their stores closed. The donuts are still selling. For years the biggest political donator in Texas was a home builder. He was also a big employer of illegals. The company still builds and sells houses. BTW, the University of Texas says at least 1/3 of the construction workers in Texas are undocumented.
Our government has been under total control of both parties a couple of times since the law was passed. None of them located or sent home the people who over stayed their visas. If one wants to enter the USA they can have a GPS implanted in their thigh as far as I am concerned.
The law could be changed today. Americans who are against illegal immigration can stop supporting those who hire them today.
How the hell are we supposed to know what businesses hire illegal aliens and those don't? If I go into a restaurant are we supposed to demand that the staff show their citizenship papers or green cards? WTH! I'm sick to death of people who put no blame on the illegals themselves. They act like they are forced to work here and are the innocent victims in all of this.

But it would take the military and martial law to straighten things out. Or a citizen militia group and a civil war.
We're paying for the military right now -- to fight stupid wars overseas and protect other countries' borders and populations.
