Push that to ones fellow Right Winger self centered hoarders, who want to use everything and pay nothing.

In a Country that has foundational belief in God Principles, such people that make up such countries supported the principles, and in doing so, they understood the necessity of mankind's humanity, compassion and cooperative support of creating what we have.

As to the twisted comment about "Fire Fighters"... Municipalities have Fire Departments and THEY PAY THEM TO BE FIRE FIGHTERS !!! One might need to learn more about what is a Fire Department and the expanse of functions they actually provide in and as service.

As to Societies... push that rhetoric to the ignorant.
Societies are Communal Organizations of Cities, Business, Industry and Governance such things make up Counties, States and combine as being a Nation. If you can't respect that.. maybe one should not choose to live in organized society. "Islands for sale" and they too fall under Jurisdiction of some Governance Organizations, and there are laws that will and do govern them.

Taxation is what supports the system of Governance, which many business and industry exist because of the things Governance Established and helped design and promote that they can flourish. They also must abide by governance for the protection of the people, from those who choose to engage in business and industry. By establishing Standards and Processes. It protect business who do provide by following the Standards and Processes, and we have a Legal System that stands to support our Governance Guidelines, Our Ordinances and Regulations as well as our Standards and Processes, and We have Organizations that serve to be the Guardian and Watch Dog that is necessary to ensure the Governance Guidelines, Our Ordinances and Regulations as well as our Standards and Processes are adhered to.

If one thinks its stealing/taking by force, then don't use any publicly funded anything, and in this nation, all land is accounted for by one measure or the others. So... it might be best to leave the country if one can't respect it and the systems that sustain it.

There are many forms of our Communal Societies function... as well as many forms as to how Governance Functions. Learn what they are and why they exist... then one might understand better how they exist.

This delusions of Freedom that one seems to have is as if one thinks the world is still in the stage and age of the Cave Man. In Civil Societies, Freedom is based on RESPONSIBILITY.... if one is so vain and self consumed that they can't abide within the frames of what is Responsibility.... then they certainly have places for such types.

Yes, and I remember tariffs being levied on more than 20,000 items, so I'm not seeing a relevant comparison.

There is 30% tax credit from the feds, typically 20% from the state or other incentives. There is the ETC in some states and they are often riding on the backs of other ratepayers for net metered systems.

What more do you want? If technology cannot compete even after all of that it's time to consider why we are investing in it to begin with. Here is a question to ask yourself, with all the pollution issues over in China why are they even bothering selling them to us instead of installing them in their own country?

Subsidies and supports for manufacturing panels.

I let China worry about their own pollution. Another major reason to let them do it!

America got by just fine with no federal income tax for nearly 150 years. Imagine that. All the while, we had great cities, infrastructure, hospitals, fire departments, police, a military, etc and so forth.

The goal for taxation should be that it be as small as possible. But communists are thieves, so for them its to make it 100%. No private property.

China is not a country run by divided politicians, they have a singular long term focus on making their country dominant. They are willing to take short term losses for long term benefits decades down the road. If we continue down this path of allowing China to engage in state backed monopolistic practices this country is doomed.

Furthermore anybody that expects US companies to have to operate under environmental laws here in the US and will turn a blind eye to issue in China so they can get cheap goods is nothing but a giant hypocrite.

You can buy a panel right now (from a non-Asian source), that will be well under 50 cents/watt - your final cost. Maybe you forgot about the tax credit?
I don't believe that. Utilities may well be able to get close to $0.50 per watt for panels but normal buyers will be hard pressed to get $0.75 and for small quantity a dollar.

Installed system on roof will run around $3,25 per watt if you get a good deal.

Utilities can do it for less than half that.
