I also don't get this idea that the subjects of criminal investigations should be provided access to investigatory files. Should Tony Soprano be able to walk into the FBI's Northern New Jersey field office and review everything they know, including who in his crew is working as informants, wire taps, etc?
Is Tony a Republican or Democrat? If he is Republican, of course. He should also be able to fire cops and prosecutors until he finds one that will dismiss the case or proclaim him to be innocent. Any investigation of a GOP politician is tyranny and an attempted coup.
This is right out of the Turkey playbook. Rile everyone up, claim a coup attempt by the other side, and start purging people from government so you can take control.
In this case its a "coup" attempt because people are trying to investigate his criminal acts. Meanwhile his lackeys are attacking the investigating agencies.
Does it concern you that the FBI says material omissions "fundamentally impact the memo's accuracy"?
Why would we see the evidence? The evidence is classified. The way to straighten this out would be for law enforcement to meet with the Committee to express its concerns, but the Committee apparently declined to do that.
We should see the evidence because we know the FBI has verifiable abused the FISA system. Why would we believe their statement about a memo that outlines more FISA abuse?
The FBI is not exactly impartial here, they are the ones being accused of the FISA abuse, they have the motive to deny the allegations.
If the FBI has not abused the FISA system, provide us the evidence that Nune's memo is wrong.
I'm sure by the end of February the smear campaign against Wray will be rolling full steam ahead. We'll start hearing about how he's really a "swamp creature" and was part of the "deep state" this whole time and nobody knew.
and nobody will hold the man "who only hires the best people" accountable for hiring another "deep state swamp creature".

How do we know the FBI has abused the FISA system? You seem to be really big on evidence, so what evidence supports that assertion?

And Trump and Nunes are impartial? What reason do you have to trust Nunes, who was already forced to recuse himself from the Russia investigation once, over FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was appointed by President Trump himself?

This is a silly and disingenuous request to make because he knows the FBI is not going to release classified information.
If the FBI releases classified information for this case, does it make sense to release classified information for all of its counterintelligence investigations?
People who are the subject of criminal investigations do not have a right to access law enforcement files to see what they are up to. There is an obvious policy reason for that--Tony Soprano would move the bodies, stop using the phone, murder witnesses, etc. Law enforcement would never be able to do its job and we know how important law enforcement is to members of this online community.

Since attacking a political foe is exactly what appears to have happened in this case, the memo will have to due for "other arrangements" until a better system can be put in place.
such a wonderful coup that it would result in Mike Pence as POTUS?? So how is this some huge conspiracy between Dems, FBI, Mueller, DOJ, and the entire intelligence community? I guess it's my fault for applying logic here.
