That Trump could not possibly become the U.S. President. It was downhill for liberals from that point on.
And yes, last year there was considerable talk in the liberal media about Trump starting a nuclear war with North Korea. People tend to forget these things when it is convenient.

Don't count your chickens yet, there, DR, just because Kim is "saying" he is changing, doesn't mean anything YET. I realize your side needs something good to bolster your support for Trump, especially since every day it is one disaster after another, but a) It hasn't happened yet, and b) Trump had very little to do with this change. Mean tweets roll off of Kims back like water, and that is all Trump has done.
Come back and see us in 6 months or a year, and see if this nice nice Kim is making now still holds true.
Kim's "conversion" is a mystery. We know that North Korea can longer conduct underground nuclear tests.But many analysts agree that these tests are no longer needed to ensure that their nuclear weapons work as designed. Perhaps, the Chinese and North Korea made a deal of some kind that would benefit North Korea if they eased tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Or perhaps it is a ruse to get US soldiers and weapons out of South Korea as a quid pro quo for signing a peace treaty to end the Korean war. Or perhaps it is genuine, as he now wants to be known as the great leader who helped North Koreans get on the road economic recovery and prosperity.
What's your guess?
My guess is that the president of South Korea treated Kim with respect. Orange Jesus sat this one out.
I have a feeling a deal is going to be struck with Un where he and his family get to sneak off into the sunset with billions of $$$$ and Korea will finally unify.
Either that or a deal where he retains his "presidency" (aka dictatorship) with a promise we won't actively seek his removal/overthrow as long as he gets rid of his nukes and retains a stable relationship with the south.

Please. Even SK gives Trump credit , and I think we can safely presume they know more about the situation than liberals suffering from TDS and posting on CD.
This is why I refuse to be an ideologue. It blinds a person to the truth. Trump is a buffoon , but when even SK gives him credit , its time for the Dems in America to take the hatred down a notch for realities sake.

Above is very possible. If he does what he says NK will prosper.
I believe the North and South Korea is genuine in their search for peace and unification, and I believe it will happen. But if anyone really thinks N Korea will ever give up ALL their missiles and nuclear technology is delusional.
BTW: Nothing Liberals predicted have ever come to pass with President Trump, in fact, quite the opposite, so far.

Kim went to China and got a guarantee from Xi that, if he gets rid of his nuke, he will be under China's nuke protection and he will also get lots of Chinese investments. Then, he meets with the SK leader and signed a peace treaty to end all hostility. Then he sees the big baby trump as a final gesture of his good will. China's support is key and with it, his dynasty is protected, along with his nuke knowhow which he has done perfecting. The Us has nothing to do with anything except to get the hell out of Asia once the two koreas make nice. Time for trump to say bye bye.
If anyone gets a nobel peace prize it would be the two korean leaders maybe along with Xi. Old man Donnie two scoops throwing tantrums and yelling rocketboy insults have nothing to do with adult business.
