No, not at all. That would be racist. In my earlier post I stated they must be consistent. You just seem defensive accusing others of racism for no reason. I will NOT defend these men just because they are black -that also would be racist. They were wrong and deserve no special treatment.
I'm not defending them "just because they are black". I'm defending them because they did nothing wrong. They didn't deserve to be arrested, and held for NINE hours in a police station. All they did was go to a Starbucks to meet someone, and defer to order until the third party showed up. That doesn't put them in the wrong.
That doesn't change the FACT that they were arrested for refusing to leave a private business when requested by the representative of that property and by the police (3 times). They were not arrested for asking to use the restroom.
The problem is why were they asked to leave???? Starbucks promotes itself as a place where people can come and take a table for HOURS. It's not a place where you are supposed to come in, get your coffee and get out. It invites people to come in and to hang out. And other customers were doing exactly that. So what made these two men different?

No they refused to leave when they were told they could stay if they made a purchase. That puts them in the wrong. At that point it is criminal trespass, no matter what color you are. The cops also told them they could leave or get arrested. They chose to be arrested.

Did you read post #1081? They certainly were doing something "wrong".
Link to the video showing what happened from the start?
There is not video from the start, he is confusing an unrelated video from California where a black man asks a man getting out of the bathroom if he was gonna order something and he says yes. Then the black man complains to the cashier about it. If the black man told them he was gonna buy something too they would have let him use the bathroom too.
Why were they asked to leave? Until the manager's side is known, we don't know why they were asked to leave. Don't you agree?
Yes
So, why do people have such strong opinions about who was right and who was wrong?
