At Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta on Thursday, Trump reported “incredible” numbers of people were signing up for association health plans. “I hear it’s like record business that they’re doing” “We just opened about two months ago, and I’m hearing that the numbers are incredible. Numbers of people that are getting really, really good health care instead of Obamacare, which is a disaster.”
Absolutely NO ONE has signed up for this insurance because it is not available until Sept. 1 at the earliest.
The critical point on these association health plans is yes, they are less expensive, but the coverage is minimal. If you actually have a major injury or illness, the co-pays will probably break you. The plans are actually so poor that several major carries are considering not even offering them. Not to mention that the people that do sign on, are taking cash out of the ACA that actually provides decent care and may cripple it.
So I looked into these association plans that Trump is hearing so many are signing up for.
The National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) said it "won’t be making an AHP available to its more than 300,000 members, reportedly because it feels the plans would require too much financial investment for too little return."
"It will cause the insurance market for small businesses to split in two, with major spikes in premiums for small firms with older or sicker workers that must remain in the small-group market because they need more comprehensive coverage."
Association plans will offer fewer consumer safeguards.
They "will not have to include protections for people with pre-existing conditions, nor will they be required to cover things like maternity care because they will not be subject to certain rules established by the Affordable Care Act (ACA)."
"If someone covered by an association plan gets sick and needs expensive treatments, that individual could be dropped from the plan — or the entire plan could be voided."

The 4.1% GDP growth was juiced by exporters rushing to get their products delivered ahead of retaliatory tariffs.
Whether it can be sustained remains to be seen, but at this point appears unlikely.
Yeah. False reality , yet again, coming from TRUMP.
Media , journalists, investigators, with allegiance to the US thank you, for presenting the truth of this regular attack by the Trump family and administration on our country.
