Talk about a COVER-UP!

What a shock... When people get caught violating the law and get arrested, their kids go to CPS (Child Protective Services, etc.). Doesn't matter if it's illegal aliens or US citizens. They both get treated the exact same way: when you're arrested, your kids go into CPS custody.

Is there seriously anyone who is somehow unaware of that fact?

Now we're suppose to look the other way because it's not nice to separate families. Too bad. Families are separated as well when a parent commits a crime and ends up in jail. Where's the outrage over that?
If they knew this was a risk and still came, that should say something to you. That it means nothing to so many is troubling for our future.

So, these are the children of the escorted people who just moved up through Mexico? If so, they knew they would be separated. Wow, this was a great pr plan the democrats hatched.

har .. riiight.
No, no one is saying that. The change in interpretation of the law that has resulted in the family-splitting policy is a new interpretation by the Trump administration, and it applies to asylum seekers only. It used to be that families were kept together while awaiting an appointment before the judge. Now Sessions has determined that it is better policy to take five year olds, breast feeding babies and toddlers away from their parents while awaiting the court date. The law has not changed, and this is NOT about others who "sneak" across the border illegally. This is about people voluntarily approach a border crossing asking for asylum. It also is not, contrary to what the administration is saying, due to Democrats in any way. It is completely a matter of interpreting existing law. The Trump administration could at any time change back to the way it has been done by many other administrations. The precedent has been to keep asylum seeking families together, and the Trump administration has changed that precedent in a way that is particularly inhumane and cruel.

Actually, unless they cross the border at a port of entry, yes, they ARE entering the US illegally.

It is NOT AGAINST THE LAW TO SEEK ASYLUM...…. HOWEVER, the SOCIOPATHIC, SOULESS CRETIN Trump, IS breaking the law by preventing these people from seeking asylum, as several lawmakers are on the border at these detention centers proving this …….right now!

They are being prevented from crossing the border at 'Port Of Entry', so they can't seek asylum! Every guard guilty of preventing this..... should be locked up and their career destroyed!

Well, we know how Trump feels about breastfeeding, so that should not come as a surprise.
