This is my point. There is a big difference between CAN DO and SHOULD DO.

By the way, I've dealt with racist individuals. I've been told "Go Back To Africa", despite being born and raised in America to American parents. I have reasons, based on my experiences, to believe some supporters are thinking "they should go back to Africa".
Exa. The President has no business giving a persona view that is unconstitutional in nature. He has the right to say something but so does the NFL players who are criticizing Trump's stand for the flag or leave the country binary logic.

The American Revolution was a secessionist civil war, just like the War Between the States.

Kim Davis was a hero to conservatives for protesting on the job.

Football players kneeling during the anthem are the sons of b****es.

Funny how that works.

Trump might have had more credibility criticizing the players for lack of patriotism if he hadn't dodged the draft during Nam with an ingrown toenail.

Yes, but you know as well as I do that the Revolutionary War was not the point of Green Mariner's post.

I understand, but the point remains that if one calls the Confederates traitors to America, then one must also call the American revolutionaries traitors to England. It's hypocritical otherwise.

Nope. We Yanks won. So we get to write the history books. And the revolutionaries were patriots.

When do Vietnam and Afghanistan get to rewrite American history books?

Vietnam won so they can write whatever they want. Eventually we'll be out of Afghanistan and they can do the same. If there's anyone left.

We're never leaving Afghanistan. It's a 100-year war at the bare minimum.
