Barack Obama was a President from the working class. So called conservatives can't stand this. It delays their agenda of reversing the New Deal. Now that Trump has given everyone presidency by electroshock, we can only list Obama's accomplishments by what Trump is trying to reverse. Let's remember that for six of Obama's eight years we were saddled which what is popularly known as the do nothing Congress.
One thing for sure is that Obama stood guard while the billionaire class got eight years older.

So you prefer to look up to a man who was born into money, and while other less advantaged young men were out serving this country he was laid up with a heel spur? Instead of looking at polls showing that 2/3 of Americans thought the country was moving in the wrong direction under his reign, he chalks it up to his being "ahead of his time."

There were no progressive liberal policies which tells me your problem lies elsewhere.
After a 30 year career in radio, film and Hollywood he was President of a large Trade Union and Governor of one of the largest states in the US and economies in the world.
That's much more experience than Obama brought to the table. Obama should have stayed in the Senate another 2 terms and he might have learned how to be an effective politician.

Trump is getting very little actually passed. He is trying to accomplish every thing through the courts and executive orders. Things Obama (was correctly) condemned for.
