No. As a New Yorker, I never liked him. There's a reason Trump faired so poorly in the election results in New York. We know all about him - sleaze, fraud, self-aggrandizement, superficiality, tacky self-promotion. In fact, there's a reason that Trump faired so poorly with New York financial institutions, too - they saw what a mediocre businessman he was and refused to deal with him, which is why Trump was obliged to go begging to Russia. There are millionaires who do great things for New York; he's not one of them.

What about all the years of hate from the right? What about all the hate Trump has spewed over the years? How come Tumpers never acknowledge that?

Shoe seems to be on the other foot, and the right gets real snowflakey, really quick.

When Trump first came into the nation's consciousness, almost 40 years ago, he became America's clown. So absurd, that he couldn't be seen in any serious way. A complete blowhard, who had no awareness of how ridiculous he appeared to be. So, what is different today? Mainly, that he is no longer funny, when the joke is on us.

I only watched The Apprentice a couple of times but. ,I liked Donald Trump until he made that stupid comment about Barack Obama being born in Kenya Africa.

I have despised him for as long as I can remember. Would not even shop in stores that carried his clothing brand. And when he went on The Apprentice, I could not believe people watched him. I honestly cannot think of anyone in my memory (with the possible exception of George Wallace when I was still a kid) that I have had such a visceral reaction too. He represents everything I detest in human nature and I cannot help but wonder, was he born with a predisposition toward evil (some brain chemistry aberration) or, was it simply a result of incredibly bad parenting? There have been very few other people I have felt similarly about; Jesse Helms, comes to mind but, there is something unique about Trump that is most disturbing. He takes great glee in abusing his power to make other people feel small. He is simply a despicable excuse for a human being.

I respect what he has done in the business world, but his tv shows were awful. I never had much opinion on him personally, had no reason to really care. That said, I didn’t vote on the poll.

You respect that only 1/3 of his businesses have succeeded and his multiple bankruptcies screwed over a lot of smaller businesses?

Most people don’t take the time to actually research all his business dealings, all they see is a rich man. He definitely scammed, conned, cheated, lied and screwed so many people in his business dealings. Sad that people refuse to see that.

Have you ever tried to start a business? Did you ever run a successful one? Obviously not. ah, you don't think Amazon screws over small businesses? You don't think that celebrities don't do what they have to do (the casting couch) to get parts?

When in business are you in business to succeed to to help your competition? Anyone in business knows that most businesses fail, some even after successes.
